I bought a pair of simones but have only wore them a couple times because they stretch out so badly. more than my other citizens. I noticed that they were made of elstane instead of polyurethane. do you think this is why? also, i have always worn 27's but lately they have gotten really baggy on me, should i size down? the times i have tried on 26's at the store they seemed too tight in the waist.

That is entirely possible. If you sized down one and they were too tight, I would instead try to shrink the original pair. You can either hot wash them or literally boil them, but I think that would help a great deal.
