Hi, I was wondering, for the LV monograms handbags, should there be a very distinctive " Leather " smell at all?

I have an alma bag, which has no distinct " leather " smell. And I have a monogram speedy 30 a Vintage one, there are some slight " leather" smell.

FWIW, none of my bags have a leather smell - but I don't own any of the recent skin bags, ie: Mahina or Suhali, for example. I have an older Epi, but it doesn't smell at all IMO.

I'm told and have heard of some of the very old bags develop almost whats described as a cigarette smoke smell, from the old leather- but none of my bags is much older than 15 yrs so I can't say.

Others may have differing opinions.....
