I've been talking to the seller and he's been more than cooperative. He states that he bought it from an LV boutique in NY and did have the two white tabs but lost them.

What he's told me so far:

-Flathead screws on buckle (good sign)
-Right heatstamp (M98087)
-Bag looks good (Letters on bottom, two drawstrings, inside says "100% Cotton Made in India)


The only red flag to me is the fact that there is a sticker on the box and according to JeeDee's guide, that signals a fake.

What are your guys opinions?

Sorry, it's fake.

On a similar note, I really hate these guys/gals that just lie about where they bought things and are happy to rip anyone off!

These look pretty real except the LV buckle starts on a full square. Real ones start on a half-square correct?

The first belt has the wrong stamping.
The new ones are fake as well.

One can't rely on looking if the LV buckle starts on a full square or half as the fakers know all this stuff. There are are several things to look at for authenticating. If in doubt, post your inquiry here before you buy.

You might try perusing a more reputable seller, like Fashionphile, Malleries or Portero.

But it's important to note that fakes slip but even the most reputable of sellers and you should ALWAYS have your item checked, no matter who the seller is.

The last belt (damier ebene) you posted looks alright. But you need to post clearer photos as blue stated.
