does anyone know how there dresses run? I saw one on hautelook today, but not sure what size to get?

I am 5'2, ~128lb, and measurements are 34-27-36. I tried on a satin dress with a side zipper dress and bought a size 6. A size 4 fit my body except for my bust, so I had to size up because I have a bigger bust and the size 6 fits my chest but is a tad loose all around. Also, a cotton dress size 4 would have been perfect on me.
