I won an auction on October 16th for a pair of People's Lib jeans, I just contacted them to find out when it was sent because I have nothing yet.

They told me they have oversold on that item, an are offering a similar item as a replacement which I will take however......

It took me contacting them to find this out, they have had my money for three weeks. Should I ask for some sort of compensation?

Thanks!

This really pissed me off. DON'T OFFER SOMETHING FOR SALE IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT! I would definitely ask them why it took so long for them to tell you--especially since you had to contact them to find out!:madbeating

Maybe they could refund your shipping? As a seller, that really is the least they can do. What jeans are they replacing them with?

I just looked on toolhaus and looks like this is something they do quite often!

They're offering me the same style of jeans but in a different wash.

I'll ask if they'll refund or at least upgrade my shipping since its already been three weeks :(

Good luck getting anything from them other than
what you were offered! I bought a pair of 7FAM
Flynts from them a while back, they sent the wrong
size. It took 2 weeks for them to get back to me
and 2 more to get a replacement. The replacement
had a huge hole in the crotch. It took just as long
to work this out. They promised a refund of the
return shipping but it was not included in my full refund.
And no response when I contacted them about it. I
was willing to give them another chance because they
have some pretty good deals from time to time but
they put me on their blocked bidders list! Needless to
say I do not recommend JNJ.

Good luck w/ your ordeal!

Nope. I just got a refund for the auction ending price of
jeans after a very long wait...2 weeks had gone by after
returning the damaged pair before hearing anything from
them regarding the refund processing. I attempted to
contact them several times about the return shipping refund,
they never responded.

Sevenheaven that's horrible! I know they're awful at responding to emails etc.

Should I just ask for a refund?

I'm pissed because I really want this style of jeans and they're getting harder to find, and I'll probably end up waiting another three weeks for the replacements!

I've only had 1 experience w/ JNJ, and it was bad. I won a pair of WR Belle Flares from them, and they didn't ship them out until I had opened a Paypal Dispute 3 weeks later, then tried to offer me a $5 coupon for my next purchase. I see so many pairs of jeans from them I want, but out of principle, I don't want to buy from them.

Yeah, I'd just go for the refund. I know many members have had issues and maybe Jacob will log on again and post, you never know! BUT, it's just not right to oversell something and then never tell you until you ask, let alone three weeks later. Sorry this happened, good luck next time.

Wow, these are bad stories! I've bought a lot from JnJ and been lucky, though their communication is terrible. Maybe I will avoid them in the future...?

I've never had any bad experience w/ them. However, I would not even entertain the idea of a replacement item. Get a refund.

I asked for a refund so we'll see how long that takes :shake

Here's hoping I can find them while I'm on my shopping spree in the States!

I also bought an item that turned to be sold out, they told me that it was a failure of their inventory system. I had to contact them first after a week of paying and not knowing anything from them. We finally reached an agreement and I accepted another model. But I have bought from them many other times and everything went fine, so I guess ,with them, is a matter of luck.
Oh, and I agree about the shitty measures, you cant trust them ever! :shake
