Help! I am attempting to fold hem a pair of Leonards with a 37" inseam. I need them to be 32.5". The problem is, since there is so much fabric in between, the hem is now larger in circumference than the part of the leg that I need to attach it to. If I was to set them together, the hem would pucker and look weird.

Any suggestions? I would imagine they have to be cut somehow? (Which I was trying to avoid....)

i get this problem too sometimes
i make a tiny fold in the hem near the seam, and tack it down real good

when i glue hem, i just fold it over. not much of another choice.

I suggest doing it the other way of original hemming where you cut it off and basically wrap it around the hem. This way you can trim the length.. Looks much nicer imo.

i dont even bother. i cut them....and rehem to my desired length.
