Okay so I am sure this will seem like a simple question to you experts out there but I'm wondering, aside from the details (pockets, stitching, tags, inner tags, etc)...do the faked up jeans feel different than the real ones?

I know I love the feel of my TRs but if you had to do a blind test where you tried on authentic TR and then a fake pair, would you be able to tell?

Sorry if this sounds like a weird question...I hope it makes sense.

Thanks for any input!

Well I wasn't wanting any fake TRs, I was just wondering if you found some if you could tell just by the way they felt even if they were good fake (stitching and tags and all) My friend swears you can get them at Walls but I didn't know if it was plausible.

From my experience, I can most DEFINITELY tell the difference. I've had at least two pairs of fake TR's in my hand in the past. One was super stiff and scratchy (although this wasn't noticeable until I had a pair of real ones to compare, and I was new to the whole jeans thing) and the other felt softer, but thin almost like it wasn't denim...if that makes sense. I agree with Pam when she says:
Right, my TR feel amazing....like as comfy as being in sweats...I was just making sure!

Thanks for all your imput, you rock!

Levi's are made of better quality denim than ANY fakes. That company still has to be responsible for the craftsmanship of their product and the satisfaction of their customers. Fakers have no such responsibility to uphold, so they could care less if their denim is made from car parts and cardboard. They aren't representing a company.
I saw a pair on ebay that was 98% cotton and 2% Polyurethane
