I have come accross a few pairs of jeans lately that I LOVE!! but they all seem to measure about a size too big (at least an inch big on all the measurements, but less than 2")
From your experience, is it possible to shrink a size with some serious hot washing and drying?
They are rare pairs that I would hate to pass up.

You can always have them altered if you are serious about keeping them. Shi is a badass at altering

In my experience, always wait for a pair of jeans that actually fits you, if anything, always buy a size down to compensate for stretching.

Trust me, I've wasted enough money on denim that I find myself taking to the tailor now or donating away just to make room for new clothes.

If there is just one problem area, like the waist or the thighs, then altering works for just about 1" (1-2" for waist). IMO much more really doesn't work.

shrinking doesn't work. best way is to alter.
