So yesterday I think it was, ebay announces this new partnership with Xiu, whereby buyers in China can buy the item on Xiu.com with everything neatly adapted into chinese for them, then you ship the item to ebay in the US, and your job is done, with you not responsible for anything further, the intl shipping, etc.

Today I have already sold something through there. Great! Or well, since it is ebay.... NOT.

Here is the clusterfuck of Xiu that awaits you.

"Xiubuy" ID buys 2 items out of the same multi-quantity fixed price listing. The shipping address is an individual's name (not a business name) and a random street address in TX that doesn't even look like a business. Turns out to be a random Fedex?? In the note area of the paypal payment it reads:

"PO#118608, pls print this number and the eBay item# after the buyer and phone#972-393-2929 on the shipping label, and kindly update the tracking number on eBay. Pls don't consolidate packages in case we order more items, an individual packing for each"

So am I to understand that even though they bought 2 items from the same listing, and paid a combined shipping total, with only ONE paypal payment, I am supposed to ship TWO packages, against paypal policy? I'm hoping they mean this in regards to stuff purchased at different times from different listings, because uh... no.

2ndly, I honestly have to WRITE on the package all these numbers? There are plenty of int'l forwarding services out there for years that streamline this by having all this info ALREADY ON THE ADDRESS WHEN THEY MAKE PAYMENT.

This is a disaster in the making. You heard it here first.

ew. also that 972 sounds like a Dallas/DFW thing. Which means its kinda near me. I wonder if its just random every time or if its always the same place? If its always in DFW and nearish to me, it wouldnt bother me because I could just take the stuff there (i assume, anyway)

Yes, but that is separate from the Xiu partnership. ebay is going to be rolling out the same system for other foreign ebayers, which is currently testing with a select group of top rated sellers. I assume it is going to be the same/ similar poorly managed system

I have 4 items pending nonpayment with them already. Also received an e-mail demanding to know why I did not ship with in 1 day. They paid Friday afternoon, sent e-mail Monday (which was a postal holiday).

we have paid on 2012-11-09 but so far, we have not seen the tracking #, please DO advise that have you shipped out the goods or not?
If yes, please advise the tracking #,if no, please ship it out in 24 hours.
Thanks very much.
The item was actually shipped on Friday though but of course eBays tracking system failed to properly update.

Also they charge around double the eBay price on that site. The items I sold to them for $45 shipped, they are charging $80+ and I believe shipping is a separate charge.

well I don't care if they make a profit but eBay shouldn't sell it to sellers as something that will help them make sales ... doubling the price on many items will wind up pricing them out of the market.
