I'm glad you did what you wanted to do and didn't let someone talk you out of it. Everyone knows surgery has risks and if that's a risk that you were willing to take, so be it.
Reading this thread with all its holier than thou judgments upon your decision just makes me mad. :roll

Anyhoo... how many cc's did you go with? I hope you're wearing those compression garments, they should help the breasts drop naturally after surgery and prevent contracture :)
I just tried to think of it as them being genuinely concerned that I was making the right decision and not just trying to make me feel bad.

I got 300 cc's in each so I'll hopefully be a 32B/C when I get back...I can't wait to get re-measured at VS!! My doctor hasn't given me any compression garments but after PMing jeaniebeanie (much :love:love) and your post I'm going to ask him about it today when I get back to Taipei (I'm in Taichung).

Again, thank all you ladies for your support. I can't wait til they look more natural!

I am glad the surgery went well, and you sound thrilled with the results.

I do think everyone here genuinely cared about you being well. Are you going to buy lots of nice new bras and bikinis?

Not sure how I missed this thread, but thought I would add my story (and congrats).
I had breast implants (silicone 205cc, above muscle) put in when I was around 26 or 27. After having them for 16 years and having gone through my first few mammograms, I started noticing a ridge developing along the top of one breast. This breast also had more scar tissue and was firmer than the other. Long story short, I had them removed (and not replaced) about 4 years ago. After removal, one implant still looked like new, but the one that was in the breast with the ridge was "bleeding". To describe it better, it looked fuzzy.
I look quite good after having them removed.
Am I glad I got implants? Yep. I was really thin and it gave my body some shape...I was barely an A cup and went to a large B. I enjoyed them while I had them, and they gave me a lot more confidence.
I'm 45 now, and my boobs are the last thing I think about.....but when I was young, it really bothered me that I couldn't fill out a swimsuit top.

I was thinking about getting implants but my fiancee finds them repulsive:(
Oh well....
I was worried what my boyfriend would think too, but as soon as I told him I'd be buying a lot more cute lingerie (since I'd be able to actually fill the cup) and that I'd let him play with them more, he became as excited as I was. I'm sorry he finds them repulsive :( But congrats on your engagement!

Thank you for sharing this with me. I don't think my body image will be such a big deal when I'm older (I'm hoping this is the case anyway, because it seems to happen as you get older) so if there are complications later down the road hopefully it'll happen just as it did with you: I'll be happy that I had them and happy with myself if they're out too. I probably won't have kids (if I have kids at all) for at least another 8-10 years either so it'll be just in time for a lift after the kiddies :)

If anyone else has a problem with scar tissue have your doctor look into a presciption drug called accolate. It was to remove scar tissue from the lungs of asthma patients but has a side effect of removing scar tissue from the breasts also. So it's something good to know and try before an explantation if you really don't want one. It works for most patients but not everyone. Anyone with implants should be massaging everyday and taking 400mg of vitamin E to keep them soft and scar tissue free daily for life.

I was once flipping through some magazine and in it there was an article with statistics on what men thought about women. Breast implants got negative numbers but then when they asked the same men who were turned off by implants if they would still like to touch them, they overwhelmingly responded that they would still like to touch a pair just to see what they feel like. I found that amusing. I am turned off by them but I would still like to play with them, just for academic purposes of course.

I have actually felt a pair myself (a friend of mine had them done and i asked her if it was okay to feel them cuz i want to get mine done).

They didn't feel that odd to me or anything. I am probably going to get mine done this summer.

Hi, I haven't been around in a LONG time. Sorry to bump this but I am getting breast implants Oct. 12th & I'm kind of nervous, I have hashimoto's thyroiditus & don't want anything "bad" to happen. Has anyone has this & gotten them done without complications? My Surgeon doesn't seem to think it's a problem & neither does my Endo. but there are all those horror stories you hear about. I hate the unknown and just don't want anything to go wrong. I'm such a worrier. :ashamed

I'm going to be studying Chinese in Taiwan for 3 months and at the end of it, I'm going to treat myself to new boobs.

Has anyone done any research or had cosmetic surgery in Taiwan and can share their experiences?

I'm a little worried about the language barrier. I do speak Chinese, but I hardly know medical terms to really ask questions. My mom will be there but I'm afraid she'll not be the best translator.

Any advice, experiences, etc. are appreciated!

and sorry about another boob thread, I didn't want to necropost Canadiangirl's thread.
I am not sure if i missed some posts, but can you tell us who will be your doctor??
