Here's a monogram that someone is selling locally. He claims he bought them locally at an LV store at a local mall here (Roseville Outlets in CA) with the receipts to prove it. What do you guys think?

Need pics of heat stamp and date code to be sure, but

1) receipts are easily faked and

2) LV does not have 'outlet' stores........
Sorry, I meant to say Roseville GALLERIA, not outlet. There is in fact a LV store at the Roseville Galleria, sorry for the mistype.

I will get more pics from the seller and post them here, thanks!

Looks ok but also need the date code stamping.

I went ahead and called the LV at the Roseville Galleria where he bought the belt from. The representative (NicoleV), does in fact exist and I inquired about the purchase date on the receipt and there was indeed a sale for this exact belt on that day. Everything checks out. A very good sign.

Looks ok to me.

Regarding calling the store and the papers, receipts and packaging don't authenticate an item....the LV item must stand on its own.
Someone could actually buy something from the LV store and turn around and sell a fake of the same item. The receipt and packaging may all be legitimate, but the actual item may not be.

It's important to always have the item authenticated before purchasing.
Thanks Louis, looks like I got lucky with this one! Finally found an authentic belt after months of searching and rummaging through hundreds of fakes on eBay and Craigslist.
