Hey ppl,

This person won and paid for a sweater I sold on ebay. I have looked at the tracking info and it has been ready for pick up since last Wednesday Nov. 23 at the post office. I just checked again this morning and it now says: "Final Notice; Item will be returned to sender if not collected within 10 days". I already sent her a message yesterday telling her it's been available for pick up since last wk and I'm waiting for a reply back. I really hope she goes and picks up her item! If the item gets sent back to me, won't I get charged for it? ugh! :(

It depends on the method that you used to ship it whether or not you will be charged to have the shipment returned to you. I am not sure the specifics on Canada Post but I believe if we ship from the US via Express or Priority then there is no fee for returned packages, but there is for Parcel Post.

Hopefully your buyer will pick it up. I recently had one returned to me and I have been messaging the seller for two weeks letting her know that it has come back to me and asking what she would like to do (pay for shipping again or just have me refund less the shipping amount). It's crazy to me that people just don't care sometimes.

eta: Actually I think we are charged for return shipping on Priority packages when sent internationally. I remember because a couple years ago I sent my AF SS her gift which she never got around to picking up, then it was returned back to me with postage due. :twitch

I don't know about Canada Post though.

The person lives in Nova Scotia and I sent it to her via Regular Parcel. *Sigh, yeah I really hope she picks it up as well. In the meantime, I'll keep trying to get ahold of her to see what the deal is.

Thanks!

Ok, so she just sent me a message back and said that she was away for a wk! She says she'll be going there tomorrow to pick it up. Phew! :eyebug
