Do Paige Jeans Stretch a lot?

I have been trying to find a pair of preminum denim jeans for a while now but after trying several lines, none of them fit my body type well. I thought I was close with Citizens - Kelly and WR - Stella but they were still not totally right...

Then I tried on a pair of Paige jeans - Laurel Canyon - McKinley and I was totally amazed at how well they fit me. Everything felt right. Not too tight, not too loose, everything was in the proper place!

I fit really well in the 29 but was deliberating over going one size smaller in case they stretch a lot. But the salesgirl told me that Paige doesn't stretch a lot at the waistband, like other brands. Is this true? The 28 fit ok, but was quite tight especially at the waistband.

I do plan on dropping just a few pounds but not for another few months so I am really confused as to what to do. What is your experience with Paige? I would really appreciate it! And I'm happy to have finally found the 'ones'!

paige typically does not stretch out much at all, especially the 60% cotton/40% polyester blends (McKinley is 60/40). that blend tends to conform to the body and holds it in. the softer washes will relax a little with wear, but in my experience they still do not stretch out a lot like other brands.

My Paiges stretch a little when I'm wearing them but return to their normal shape/size after I take them off. One reason why I'm buying more Paige now...I hate loose fabric under my butt and it happens the least with Paige!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your feedback and experience with it. It's possible they might be a bit loose if I tone down a bit but they are not comfortable in the smaller size, so I best go with the one that fits. I don't believe in buying things to fit into them later - because I'll never do it!

I really am amazed at how nice the Paige jeans fit. As I said, I tried on so many and found they just were cut strangely. ANd the denim on this is nice and thick, vs. the really thin R&Rs or WR. I'm not a huge fan of stretch jeans either so I'm happy to know I don't have to buy them impossibly tight.

I think it depends on which ones you are going for, some of mine stretch (definitely not like other brands though) and some don't

I agree with Cat (not that she needs anyone to agree with her since she's the expert). I love the 60/40 Cotton poly blends because they hold their shape wonderfully.
I have a few washes that stretch out a lot though (one as much as some of my 7's). I've found that the washes with thinner denim seem to stretch out more than some of the others.

ETA- I would stay TTS in Mckinley (get the size that fits). It's not stretchy and only relaxes a tiny bit.
