Suggestions on plain, quality tees?

Hey,
I was wondering if someone might be able to recommend me somewhere to buy some quality all plain colored tshirts. I usually like to wear plain tees with my jeans and was hoping for some better quality shirts that are heavier and plain in different colors. Thanks

Banana Republic makes a really comfortable, soft tee. Not too pricey, either.

Yep, they are my favorite. You can even get them cheaper at the outlets. They were something like 4.99 on sale last time I was there.

Alternative Apparel makes some really nice plain stuff. I have about five of their shirts, and they're all cut perfectly and are incredibly soft.

I love American Apparel's basics. They're pretty well made and the fit is fab.

Why am I not surprised to see AA listed a bunch?

Oh, yeah, because it's true.

The problem with AA and the like for me is most of their shirts are unisex and most of time they're too long for shorties like me. I prefer clothes made more for women for the fit. I have some basic tee's from a Canadian store, Roots and some from BR like Josh has suggested.
