Anyone having shipping issues?

OK, I know it's Christmas and the mail is slow right now. But, I dropped a package off at my PO on Sat the 13th, it cleared my main PO on the 15th and it still hasn't arrived. I called and they couldn't tell me anything. Does this seen extreme or am I just being paranoid?
Anyone else having similar issues?

Hmmm, I still get my stuff the same day they clear my main PO...

Edit to add: I didn't get the question. Sorry.
I think 1 week waiting time for packages to arrive is still alright with this busy season.

OP is the SENDER of the package I believe.

I wouldn't be worried at all. Packages have been taking "vacations" quite often lately

Yes, I am the sender. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks Pam, I was hoping that was the case.

I mailed a package to my grandma a couple weeks ago and she finally got it Friday, so it took about 16 days to get to her.

I have a few packages that are taking forever to get there. And I have two packages that I sent Express to AFers in Canada the end of October that still haven't arrived. I am finally just refunding them because I feel so bad. There goes $400.

Yup. Some postal worker is running around with a pair of Supers and some Ed Hardy shirts on.

They made it out of the US ok and then poof. Nadda damn thing on the tracking in Canada. Maybe it was the pilot.

i've been lucky with the two packages i mailed to Canada (express) recently... they did take just a little bit longer than what i remember to arrive, but still within acceptable time frame (like 1-2 days later than usual).

hope everyone's package gets to their destination soon

^isn't there insurance on int'l express packages though? You should be able to get some $$ back if the package is actually lost!

I mailed a few packages today via domestic priority, and the PO guy said they should get there by weds (tho now i'm thinking he's probably full of shit LOL)

edit: under amber

Normally yeah. I think Express comes with $100 insurance. But when you are an idiot and devalue the items to help your buyer avoid customs then no. I royally screwed myself.

And for the record, I have sent hundreds of International packages to Canada and elsewhere with no problems. These are the only two that they have ever 'lost'. I am still hoping that they will get there but it's been almost 2 months now.

Oh, no!
Sometimes the package takes 3 months to get here in Canada. (my order from Revolve clothing took 3months and 2 days, if I remember correctly.) Also, I think Canada Post was on strike for a while, it might have slowed down the service.

I am so hoping the package will arrive at the buyer's door eventually...

Good to know. I am hoping they either get back to me or get to the AF members.

Yeah, three months is a little excessive, unless you live in Nunavut, then maybe.

Amber, hope you get the packages sorted out. It does seem weird that EMS would take so long and you shipped those two out at the same time. I remember there was a form I filled out when an overseas package went missing, though working with USPS was a complete nightmare because every employee told me something different.

To the OP, I just got a priority package today that was mailed on the 16th so I wouldn't worry.

I sent a package express to Germany on November 6th and it just got there. Not only that, but it was never scanned ANYWHERE. Ridiculous.

Not even to show it was delivered? Or only at delivery?

I've received a lot of parcels from the US where the tracking on the USPS site has not moved past the first message - something about the sender letting USPS know that it's ready to be collected (can't remember the actual wording). Cos of this they don't show up on the UK tracking system.
