when's the best time to sell on ebay?

I hope this isn't an inappropriate question: I was wondering when is the best time to sell on ebay with the economy in the toilet -- right now so people can buy before xmas, just after xmas in conjunction with all the other sales going on, or waiting until after new year/ mid january. All opinions welcome Thanks!!

I think you'd have a hard time guaranteeing anything for Christmas at this point. Auctions definitely would be a problem. You could do BINs maybe with a big bright red day stated in the auction by which the buyer must buy AND PAY FOR the item but with the bad weather across a lot of the midwest, even that could be tricky.

I've always had good luck in January right after the holidays. I think people have holiday present money to spend and a lot of people buy what they wanted but didn't end up getting for xmas.

never - eBay sucks camel penis seriously though since people are seriously cutting back and stuff i would see if you could try and list a few things now just to test the waters and if nothing sells than definitely wait until the new year

Definitely not right now. My guess is it will pick up a bit after people start getting their tax checks.

I am pretty sure there will not be a good time. Take advantage of the $.35 listings and list away and see what you can get.

Things will get worse before they will get better. There are lean months up ahead (Jan- March), so I would sell now.

Yeah, if you meant this month. This. If you have an auction make sure it ends at appropriate times on both sides of the US and best on a weekend, I believe.

brody- what listings are .35 right now? Are you referring to the fixed price listings?

Yes. This also guarantees you get what you want, but also higher FVFs.

Have you guys ever accidently bought too much on ebay because you didn't think you were going to win everything. I just did that. Should I list on here or ebay?

i think there are some sniping services that will only bid on a second item if you don't win the first, which helps with overbidding
