So I just tried to buy some NHL tickets, I refreshed the page ever second for 3 minutes straight and had the form completed in like 2 seconds and all tickets were sold out, so I keep trying for another 10 minutes and then try to google search for the tickets, the ticket broker websites have 1000000000's of tickets for 5-6x's the price!! I thought it was ILLEGAL to sell tickets over face value, they're not ever trying to get around it by selling a hockey card for $500 and then the tickets at face value. WHY IS THIS ALLOWED!????

Also an interesting fact - TicketsNow (a "broker") is actually owned by Ticketmaster and a link to their website comes up on Ticketmaster when you get to the sold out tickets page.
Scalping is illegal if corporations cannot make money off of it. If they can, then it's all rosy. The corporations get money, the government can justify it and make taxes off of it and so what if the fans can't afford it? Yup...sad but true.

Unfortunately it is the only way i get tix. I go to ALOT of sporting events.... but b/c I go to popular teams (red sox, pats, celts) and events (been to 1 superbowl, nba finals last year, and several baseball playoffs)... they are always sold out and i have never paid face value I wish i did. It would save me alot of money!
