I would put the $375 toward a Crocodile Birkin bag.

Question for all the fur haters...Do any of you wear/own any leather belts, shoes, hand bags or furniture? If so, whats the differance?

ETA: To OP, I don't think that hoody is worth $375, or any hoody for that matter.

.
There is not a lot of difference. Cows used for their skin in India and China are tortured, however, are not normally skinned alive like most fur-bearing animals used for fashion.
No, I do not wear or sit on cow flesh. I do not use down or wear wool either.
In case you were going to ask, I don't eat meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs and honey.
I do not go to circuses or zoos, purchase animals or give custom to shops who sell animals or birds, etc, etc.

I do all of this very easily.

general thought:

I don't wear fur and especially that hoodie because it is ugly.

But I have dozens of pairs of leather shoes, half a dozen leather belts, 2 watches with leather straps...and they all come from the skin of an animal.

Man is a superior hunter, and because we can hunt (breed) these animals for consumption (eat/wear) I see no problem with it.

I sorta figured all that. Do you use chapstick? I know a few vegans and they seem to do it very easily also.

No. Yeah, I know, you meant the other people, I see your point entirely. I don't really expect a lot of people to live like I do.

Buddha, your reasoning does not surprise me in the least. As you oppose gay marriage because of "moral" reasons, it is no surprise that you would fail to give rights or respect to anyone you appear to be weaker than you.

The thing is, human beings have been doing exactly what they are doing to animals to other human beings for years and in non-progressive countries still are. We have enslaved, oppressed, tortured, murdered and a whole bunch of other crap to people for years. The natural progression in thought is that we would not inflict our might on other species simply because we can.

This is the same reason I would not steal candy from a baby. It is just too easy and a cop-out.

^ often beeswax. Don't get me wrong, I do not expect ANYONE to really give a rats ass about bees. Veganism is a very slow progression, you just slowly cut stuff out.

Here is some comic relief:

The hoodie is not worth it.
The rabbit looks good in the fur.
End of story.

Rob may I ask, why not wool? Sheep are not killed for their wool? I thought they were just sheared. Why not dairy and eggs?
I am not trying to start anything I am honestly just very curious about it.

I completely understand the circus thing and pet shops but what about zoos? Don't some of them try and replicate the habitat of the animals and have wonderful "saving animals from extinction" programs?

Dubbo zoo here is set on acres and acres and the animals are not in cages, they roam. Their rescue programs and breeding programs are pretty awesome. Isn't this a good thing?
sorry to threadcrap

on edit: I would not pay that much for any hoodie
