Totally wrong? Or workable? lol

OK, so I'm procrastinating working on my thesis by trying to figure out what I'll wear for the graduation celebration LOL (Yeah I know, I'm just assuming I'll finish this damn thing by DecemberLOL) So here're my choices. Let me also add that if I do have a style () it would be funky and offbeat...that being said, do either of these offend? Also, this is a group of writers who are graduating, so there isn't really a dress code...pretty much anything goes

I like the first dress on you but not sure if the sleeves aren't too long. The color and neckline are beautiful, imho. Rhonda, I am really not a fan of the white dress, the fabric looks very costumey and white, like Santa's little sister.. And these boots start where the dress ends, not a very good look, I think.. sorry..

Rho! You just lost a ton of weight, lets show off your shape!

Get a nice dress that accentuates your hourglass shape, and pair it with some tights and heels.

I honestly don't like either and don't think the cut of the dress is flattering to your torso/upper body. I like the detailing on the white sleeves more than the blue dress. I think a different cut would accentuate your figure so much better (so says the girl who also has lost tons of weight and still doesn't like her figure. LOL)

LOL I know, I still buy too big sizes, but one of the problems is the fact that I'm a 4/6 on bottom and a 12+ on top thanks to the enormous tah tahs! LOL

The white dress is too big, and the sleeves on the other one are too long, but I have an amazing tailor so I was just wondering if I liked either.

Sorry but I'm not feeling either one. I think a dress with defined waist like this would be more flattering and still have the flowy look.

Halston Heritage Smocked Waist Chiffon Dress | Nordstrom

Congrats on getting so far and good luck finishing up the rest of your thesis!

Sorry I don't like them too much. They seem sort of boxy

I like the one Rivkah postd Looks like a mix of the dresses + more definition at the waist

I'm not a fan of either of them. I don't mind the blue and black so much if you had the sleeves hemmed but the boots need to go. That dress would look so much better with a sheer black tight and black heels.

Congratulations on losing weight and graduating. You look great!

thanks for the input guys, I'm going to try the blue one again, with heels and sheer tights when I get the sleeves hemmed. Gonna send the white one back

Oh, and I love the one Rivkah posted, but not loving the price I've still got time so I'll keep looking, in the meantime, if anyone finds anything sorta flowy/sheer sleeves/ but with a defined waist, let me know!

I like the blue one. If your tailor can shorten the sleeves and maybe take it in a bit at the waist I think it would look good with black leather boots (not suede, but shiny leather) or black heels like someone else suggested.

You look fabulous!

I like the blue one and I think with a few small changes it will look good.
I think you should make the sleeves shorter and also make the sleeves a bit less 'puffy' as they go down. There's just too much extra material on the sleeves and you can still keep the look but just take some of it off.

And then you need a different pair of shoes with the dress. I probably wouldn't wear it with tall boots at all. Maybe a pair of simple heels/pumps. I think the tights are nice they way they are, but they would look good if they were sheer as well.
