Need 2 Dresses

Sooo, I have two summer weddings to go to. I'm going to go to Anthro and look at their dresses, but I honestly don't know where to start because I never wear them. I can't wear the same dress to both because one is going to be a bit more formal. They are both outdoor. Ummm...I'm lost. I guess I'm trying to figure out what type of dress will look good on me and you all know what I look like, so help me! Maybe some suggestions for shoes too?

I'm looking to spend hopefully less than $150 on each dress, and maybe I can buy shoes that will work for both.

Thanks for any/all possible help.

Steph, sorry, cannot help with Anthro stuff.. But do you like/wear boob tubes? ;) I've just had an image popped in my head after reading your post: some simple(or maybe not so) bandeau dress (probably, which hits right above the knee) and (not matching) short-ish bolero/shrug from light material with 3/4 or short sleeves. And a simple high-heeled shoe without any straps to elongate the legs (it's not that you have short ones ).. Don't know.. What do you think?

I think this dress is super cute for an outdoor wedding:

Quechua Dressxx-xxAnthropologie.com

Anthro doesn't have a ton of formal dresses, you may have better luck with that at like a nordstrom maybe? The brand i wear a lot is ECI which is at nordstrom/lord and taylor and totally is dressy. But i'd go to the store and try on whatever you can.

^That dress is really cute! I think that'd be very flattering on you, Steph.

Ok, I bought two dresses at NR yesterday. One I couldn't find online, but this is what the other one looks like:

Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Pleated Jersey Dress | Nordstrom

Only problem is it's like a deep emerald green, and they don't have my size in the other colors. It's very pretty on, but not sure if it's a good color for an outdoor wedding.

Also looking at these two on zappos:
Lole Opal 1 Dress at Zappos.com
Jax Cap Sleeve A-line Dress W/ Pleating at Zappos.com

I looove this one, but I doubt the fit would look right
Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Ruched Stretch Satin Dress | Nordstrom

Shaina, I really like the dress you posted, but I think I would need the 14 in it...not in stock online. I know I could look for it, but I don't want to buy and return too much stuff if it doesn't work out. I'm uber lazy about that stuff.

eta: I'll try to post some pics of what I got later.

^I like the pleated dress... emerald green sounds nice. Are you worried it's not summery enough?

^I think you could make it summery with sandals and maybe floral accessories, but if you don't feel comfortable in green a different dress is probably better.

Yes, I agree the first dress is beautiful and maybe it's for better that you got a deep emerald green as this colour described as *brick* will look very old on many people. The last dress will work best on the straight figure (sporty) I think. Better do not take a risk
