Has Anyone Tried Cold Brewed Coffee

I came across this:
Toddy Cold Brew Cold Brew Coffee Maker at Cooking.com

And, I am wondering if it is any good? I love coffee and less acidic coffee would be even better, especially if i don't have to sacrifice taste.

i tried it once at a local coffee shop in Tucson. I didn't notice any difference in taste. I think you get more variation in taste from roast to roast though, or at least that's what I notice :)

I noticed a difference and didn't like it. Might have been the actual roast or the place though so give it a chance.

I bought this and it is fantastic.

Lipton, Black Tea, Cold Brew, Pitcher Size, Tea Bags, 22-Count Boxes (Pack of 12): Amazon.com: Grocery

I was amazed at how good it is.
Highly recommend.
REAL tea...you add whatever you like, lemon, sugar etc.
:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

I am sad grammar nazis have not shown up to mention the lack of question mark.

When I saw Harry Potter last night, I was so proud that Hermione says, "I couldn't care less" instead of, "I could care less."

This has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. I apologize.

I have yet to see that, but I'm glad that phrase was spoken properly!

As for the coffee, I hadn't even heard of cold-brewed before... but I love coffee and if I get the chance, I'll try it!

i think i :love you

i honestly it was just me who realizes that "i could care less" is a logical absurdity. thank god that's not actually the case. i'm thrilled ;score

ETA: realized everything i said was tc so i'll add: not sure how cold brewed coffee is different from iced coffee you would get anywhere like sbux or peet's (less the actual ice), but if it's anything like brewed coffee that's been sitting in the pot for a long time i would stay away :P

I hate iced coffee but anything with less acid would be great. I am getting where I can hardly drink coffee because of acid reflux.

I caught that, but you had already posted this :D So, I did not make a correction so that it would continue to make sense.

Yeah, I have had the same problem since having Max. It's better than when I was PG, but not as good as before.

Frankly, I brew a pot of hazel nut or mocha coffee. Turn it off after it completes and then get out my great big travel coffee mug, put a shitload of ice in it and pour the coffee over the ice.

Delicious.

Randomly, a facebook friend posted today that she made cold-brewed coffee and loved it. I think she didn't use a special machine, though.

Good God can we stay on fucking topic people?

brody 07-17-2009 08:49 PM

^ Hopefully that is not grammar, because that is lamer than lame.
