OPINIONS: Do I give up on SFAM dry or suck it up and make right?

So,

For some reason I have wanted a pair of SFAM raws. Not really sure why but it has been something set in my head. I tried three different pairs I won on eBay in the past year but all were horrible in their own ways.

So these came today. They are a sample pair of bootcuts that didn't go through wash and are 100% cotton. I'm a TTS 32 but these are a 31 since I knew they would stretch out.

Again, they are bootcuts but I call them SUPER bootcuts since they are similar to a flare (opening 10"!). If I don't get rid of them I see my options as either hemming since you can tell by the first picture that mess at the bottom is no stacking by any means. Plus all my other raws are straight narrow cuts so to have one bootcut wouldn't be THAT bad..... OR having the leg taken in / tapered.

They weren't that much $ so I would be willing to put a little more into them but i'm not sure if it's even worth it.

Thoughts?

Here is the first pic, pretty nasty.

If they were hemmed

fits

I would just not do it. Given how their denim is, I doubt it'd be able to last a long time.

IMO no dice even if you did get them hemmed. Flares are one style guys should shy away from.

I have never been a fan of flare/bootcuts.

False, I must say SFAM are my go to jeans, they're the most comfortable out of all my jeans. I wore my SFAM for the first time in 2 months after wearing my APCs and boy does it feel like heaven.
In regards to the jeans, I wouldn't bother with them. Get them tapered if you wish, but don't dedicate too much time on them.

I pick SFAM over TR or R&R any day. I have been wearing them for 8 years and have no complaints. Even the newer washes that aren't the best of quality have never let me down. SFAM has only made one true raw/dry line, the wash is called Rigid. These are actually a sample pair that never went through a wash and are not the Rigid wash. All pairs are raws at one point.

I'm not really feeling them as a bootcut at all so basically it's now get rid of or taper. hmmmmm.

I actually love this $9 shirt.

Prez day the whole store was 40% off and it was already on sale. It's a large and was the only one left but could have def gone with a medium if they had. But jews can't be choosers, something like that.

Anywho, I gotta say: I think that the fit just doesn't too good on you, cram. Even if they got hemmed and tapered...the top block doesn't sit real well either. I'd throw in the towel, personally.

The jean is very loose. I think it might be too big for you.

The leg openings really do look huge. If you're tired of trying to find pairs, but still want the SFAM, then I'd say take them to your tailor. IMO, it looks like sizing down one more would still work for you but the current fit from waist to thigh still looks fine with this pair, good luck.

He is talking about the brand in general, not raw. Please relax.

As someone who doesn't wear SFAM and owns both Samurais and Flat Heads; you're a fucking idiot

Anyway I'd sell them, but if you're set on keeping them they definitely need to be tapered

Are you saying that Japanese denim can't be comfortable? Or comfort of wear shouldn't be a consideration when picking out denim?

the level of comfortability depends on a person who wears em..I can't tell you which brand is or not..

anything can be a consideration when u wanna buy a pair of denim..
it just sounds weird when someone compares SFAM with a brand that makes raw denim.
