How someone bought DIESEL jeans NWT for $3.25

Hi, i am not a new user here .. I just forgot my old user name and password. Just wanted to get some input on ebay sales from others ..... My friend listed NWT diesel YBO jeans for women the other day ... started auction at 99 cents and a week later ... sold for only 3.25 . these had a price tag of about 150! he sold other jeans NWT like R&R's for 10 bucks... hudson for 5 NWT . what do you guys think?

BTW . i noticed judynjacob closed their ebay store recently ...... is business that bad?

Well, while you were sleeping the economy took a terrible spill. eBay became hated by many and sellers made poor decisions about starting prices. I think that sums it up.

ETA: It is also against the forum rules to have multiple user names.

Ybo isn't a popular fit, no-one has ever really liked Hudson, and R&Rs usually do much better than that, but they've started to decline in popularity.

It's all in HOW you list the items. Yes, overall denim sales have decreased in the last couple years but one can still do really well on ebay if they take good pics, write a good description, price the item correctly, and are willing to sit on it until the right buyer comes along.

Yeah, not all the stores carry Hudsons for some reason (some deal with Nordstrom I think), but they just sit and sit at the ones that do.

^have you been to the one in St. George at the factory outlets? They have nothing for women but tons of men's sweet cuts & washes. A lot new season & old.

Which downeast do you go to?

Haven't been to St George in awhile, last time I was there (6 or 7 months ago) they had lots of women's but no men's. I frequent everything between Provo and Ogden, but haven't been much in a month or so, just been a bit busy lately. What fits and washes has St George had lately?

I have found Diesels actually hold there value on ebay considerably higher compared to brands like joes jeans and hudson

where I live (Santa Barbara) the girls Loooooove Hudson, I see it more than any other brands, except 7, I tried a pair and I liked how they fit but they wore out faster than any jean I have ever owned in my life!

Yeah, I think it depends a lot on the fit/wash, but the more popular Diesels hold value really well. Of other non super expensive jeans (considering super expensive to be brands that are almost always above $300), TRBJs seem to be the only other jeans that hold value about as well. More expensive stuff (Dsquared, Dior, Japanese brands, etc) seem to do pretty darn well compared to original price on eBay, although that's probably more just because the supply is low and they're more consistent with not having big sales on their denim, unlike the other more mall-oriented "designer" brands like Diesel, 7s, TRBJs, Hudson, etc. And I agree, second hand Joes are nearly worthless. I've had one pair of them sitting around in an eBay pile for over 6 months. haha.
