| | | Big T design So I finally found a pair of Big T's in my size, and to be completely honest, I dunno if I want them anymore. I love the thicker threads, but does anyone else fell that the bigger snaps and rivets looks a little wierd? jmo... |

| | | Actually, after having a pair of Big Ts, the smaller rivets and buttons start to look weird.
However, I do think that the oversized hardware & stitching of Big T isn't for everyone. Either it's your thing, or it isn't (at least on any given day). At first I didn't like the clunkiness of Big T, but I had to learn to like it, because Rainbows are all Big T. |

| | | They aren't for me. I recently sold my Big Ts. They're a little too much out there for my liking. I love them on others, though. Go figure.. |

Ill have to try on a pair (again).....It could be that the one I saw was in rinse and the metal sticks out A LOT more on the darker washes |

| | | I like the regular and the bigt. I haven't seen the supert in person yet so I cannot give any opinions.
I had a regular medium vintage (was too big), and now I have a big t joey in raw, and big t rainbow bobby in mud waters. |

| | haha now that I think about it, all my TR's are big T except for my Sammys. I'll probably sell those anyway since they're kinda big.

| | i personally love the big T. at first i was iffy about and thought the buttons and rivets were way too big but after seeing them in person and owning a pair, i love it! the big thread stitching is the best. it really makes your jeans stand out. but i can see how big Ts may not be for everybody.

| | | I <3 Big T
Both my pairs are big T, the other two I sold. It's partly the size of everything, but I also prefer the white stitching on many washes |

| | thanks for the advice everyone.....and about the big stitching...does it unravel easily? 2 TR's on the display were already loosing the thread on the horseshoe....the way i see it, if Im spending upwards of 240 bux, the damn thing better not break after 1-2 wears...
Tsukasa, buddy I didnt even know you were registered here! Ahh, well no TR section is complete without ya! |

| | | TR is notorious for crappy stitching, on all styles. Your best bet is to keep fabric glue on hand to tack down any stitches that come loose.
I also glue problem areas from the inside beforehand (reenforcement stitches along the outer leg, pocket stitching, near the waistband, hem.)

Anyways, yes the quality, or at least the method of their jean production is I think not worth the price tag. This is why I have yet to pay retail on TR, while I have on other brands. I just enjoy the style of TRs. They seem more unique compared to other brands (just like Antik, but I don't enjoy Antik's style). |

| | | I like the look of big, but all big t that I have ever seen is rigid, so it's a no-go.

| | | I never liked the look of big-T, and always got regular, until I saw Sunshine Joeys--the rainbows were so cute that I just had to get them anyway! Now I don't really mind the bigger rivets and all (but I do agree that they would look funny on a darker wash, mine is light) although I still prefer plain old regular TR.

| | | I only have three pairs of Big T, and have yet to wear any of them...I can't get over the large rivets, stitching etc. They're just soo flashy! Plus, I haven't seen any in my area, and I dont' know if I could even pull off wearing them at all. |

| | | Big Ts are my favorite - i LOVE the white stitching, i think it compliments a lot of the washes (esp. Med. Clearwater.) I also like the bigger rivets/button - its not too flashy for me, i seem to prefer the unique jeans. |

| | | I find the bold stitching and big hardware complement Joey's twisted seams and pocket flaps. rainbows would look really weird with normal thread and smaller rivets/buttons... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
