Question Bout" Ebay

Okay if I have a pair of jeans I started at .99 cents and someone bid on them, can I still end the listing?

What I guess really gets me, is I have listed these "everywhere", and relisted 3 times on ebay at that.
and noone made me an offer until they were 99 cents an a bid placed -LOL

anywho, I just need to know if I can end it with one bid placed?

And Morally....do you think its right?

As far as I know you can end a listing whenever you want, regardless of bids. I have had many listings I was watching ended. Most people choose the error in listing reason. The only problem I would think you would enctounter is people avoiding your listings if you do it frequently...I did that to one seller who ended like 5 I was watching in one week. Seemed excessive and exploitive to me. But one listing? Nah, it's a drag relisting things over and over. I do it all the time, relist that is. It sucks. I just relisted a brand new pair of joey stretch like 5 times before someone bought them. Spent probalby $10 of the $99 I made. PITA!

BUT, morally? I don't think it's a moral issue really, more ethical to me. It's not really right or wrong, it just is. You are not trying to rip someone off, you are trying to get a good fair price for your item. I would not avoid your listings if you ended one. Also, I don't think there is a record of your ending items either so only those who are watching the listing would know.

Is it the listing for the Sammy's with the patches? I watched those, would have bid but I wasn't crazy about the patch thing. Dunno, seemed like you could see it through the hole and I was concerned that it would come off after washing and leave "stuff" or problems with the jeans. If it wasn't those then I don't know why no one wants them.

You can end your listing early with bids, but you have to cancel the bids first.

Thanks everyone, I just have some good offers and would like to take them.
Jaydilly, I sold those, yes I patch them via Luvapup's technique, so I am sure they would stay put!!
Actually I sold the Sammy's , and she still hasn't paid me yet
I will prolly have to relist them too.
Thanks spongebob, I appreciate it( also BTW- I love Gary )

Tell the offerer to bid til they take the lead, then end early by selecting "end early to sell to the high bidder". Then just invoice for the real amount.

Or you can just end the auction, be sure to select "cancel all bids and end auction early." You WON'T be able to end the auction if there are less than 12 hrs left

I think the 1st option makes the most sense.
