Sammy Sizing and Fit

I didn't feel like going to another site to check and I'm sure this has been asked a million times but...

I'm tempted to buy some Sammy's but never tried TR's before. I'm normally a 26 stretch, 26/27 rigid in CoH's and SFAM. I'm interested in the Sammy Medium Premium. What size should I get?

Another question, which TR styles w/ flap pockets does not have the twisted in/out seam, if such a pair exists?

I would get the 26 in the Sammy Medium Premium.

The TR style that has the flap pocket but no twisted seam is the Billy. BUT, the fit is different -- Billy is a straight leg, not flare leg. If you want the flare leg, non-twisted seam, try the Bobby (no flap pockets though!). The twisted seam bothered me at first, but now I love them I also need to get all my jeans hemmed, so the twisted seam isn't as drastic on me when I wear 'em.

Here are links to Billys:

It really depends on what kind of fit you prefer. For sammy's I'd stay inmy normal size so the fit super loose and relaxed.

but If you want them more snug at the waist/hip, size down.

Thank you ladies! I guess I'll stick with the 26 since I can always shrink them down. I rather have my jeans a tad big than a tad small.

Anna, I need to get my jeans hemmed too and I guess I would think the twisted seam would look funny if it's chopped off, that's probably my lack of appeal toward them.

i would also say go with 26, possibly 25. i am a 31 in sfam/some TR stretch (size up to 32 for Big T TRs. the first pair of med premium Sammys i got in a 30 fit me perfectly. unfortunately i sold them b/c of a crappy hem job and the 2nd pair of 30s i got are too small.

Unfortunately it depends on the wash. Some of them are tts, some are not. I have DPE (old multi, non-stretch) and I'm a 24/25 in those, although a 25/26 in Joeys. It would be better if you could try some on at a store before buying. I remember some people being really unpleasantly surprised after ordering Sammys in their regular size (I think wasntme was, a few months back)

And I think there was an older non-twist version of the Joey, now I can't remember the name (not the Billy)
