| | | True Religion at Marshall's? I don't know if anyone has posted about this yet but the over the weekend I was at Marchall's getting some basketball shorts and saw a few pairs of TRs there. Could they be real or no? they had them priced around $100. I wouldn't mind getting them if they were real. That's a steal dude. Well let me know, thanks |

| | Marshalls DOES have real TR however that is not a blanket authentic statement.
Price is only a steal if it is a fairly rare wash, or a SuperT etc.
Not a steal if it is a stone wash or a common wash. |

| | | My Marshalls always has at least a full rounder for $99 in mens and several in womens. Most of them are boring washes that aren't worth $100 and can be had on ebay for $50-$75 if you want basics. Occasionally someone returns a fake to Marshalls or exchanges a fake for a real. I'd say about every other visit I notice a fake pair mixed in. The salespeople there generally have no clue about authenticity.

| | | ^ agreed. (below rhapsody) i saw some basic pairs when i went to the marshalls in boston this weekend, all for well above the price i would pay for them. most of the time they feel cheap or really stiff (i saw some blatant fakes) and a number of people excited to try them on. i don't know that much about TR but i can tell when the pair looks off. i generally only by rare pairs of 7's if i see them there, which has only happened once.
ETA: i would only buy them if you actually really like them, for the most part i wouldn't pay $99 for any pairs i've seen there. they usually have a better selection in mens though, imo. |

| | They have quite a few TR's at my Marshall's as well.
They ususally consist of Stone, rinse, and bleached washes.
Although last time they had some leather pockets in a variety of washes....
They had a whole rack of TR's with red horseshoes....

| | | I just made a thread a few days ago about the TRs at TJ Maxx. As you may (or may not) know, TJ Maxx and Marshalls are owned by the same company and generally sell the same merchandise. The TRs at my TJ Maxx have been marked down a few times, so they are around $70 now and will probably go down to around $50 in the near future.
TJX (the parent company) is too big to be selling fakes, although they did get busted a few years back for selling "3rd shift" items (items made without the contract holder's consent and subsequently sold to wholesalers). Like the previous posters said, however, it is possible that someone could exchange a fake pair for a real pair.

| | Dude:
They do not deliberately sell fakes.
Please now..
Fakes are returned there, exactly the same as at Niemans, Nordstrom etc.
If Nieman, Nordies employees can not recognize a fake, I hardly think TJX employees will either.
Those people are incapable of picking up a broom or making change with out assistance for petes sake.
I shop regularly at TJ/Marshalls.
I have seen random fakes there as well as at other retailers.
Thanks |

| | Just FYI, all of the TRs at my TJ Maxx are "Dark Whisker" wash (well, the men's at least, I don't venture into the women's section often ). They're pretty boring.
