Well I'm going to treat myself to some TRs within the next few days and I just have a few questions.

Im more than likely going to be purchasing online so Im not sure which size to go with. All of my previous jeans that I've purchased have been 34W 30L(yea im short) They range from brands of Lucky, AE, Hollister, Express etc... and they all pretty much fit the same.

Im thinking about getting some Joey's and I just wanted to know which size should I get??? (I usually like a little extra room in my jeans for the waist comfort)

Im not sure if I should size up or down??

you could go to the store and try some pairs on , to get a feel on the fit
also measure your best pair and apply those measurements with your purchases

Yea if the seller does not list ACTUAL measurements on their jeans, ask them because even within TR, the different styles will yield very different measurements, even if they're tagged the same. I learned this the hard way with my first pair lol.

true religions generally fit one size bigger than what they state
so if your in a comfortable 34 then i would suggest a 32 in all the boot and flair styles like joey and billy. but then again american eagle, abercrombie, and hollister fit a little big to size so if that is what your basing your size off of then i would recommend buying the same size you do in them.

The best bet you could take is to run to a nordstrom or a metro park close to you and try on a whole bunch of them in all the styles so you know.
(takeing notes isnt a bad idea. i forgot what sizes in what styles fit me the first time i did this)

In comparison to other brands, with TR, I have had to size down myself(I know you're guy) and my husband. Depending on the wash, my husband has gone down two sizes.

He claims its from eating healthy, its not - its the wash. He measuures a TTS 32, a 30 TR fits him well...and sometimes, a tad big.

If possible, I'd go to a retail location and try them on. Its more about the wash than your size......when you try them on you'll know what I mean.

i dont know how they fit for girls but for guys the billys and joeys fit one size up to me. i usually wear a size 30 waist but in TR i wear a 29 and those fit loose! this may only be for men tho. im comparing this to mainly abercrombie energie and diesel jeans.
