| | | TR Men's Jeans Style Suggestions Hey Everyone
Okay, I am looking for some suggestions from either guys or girls. I really want to buy my boyfriend a pair of TR jeans for Christmas. The problem is, he is REALLY REALLY picky about jeans and fit of jeans. I love the way TR jeans look on guys (so sexy IMO!!) My guy's favorite jeans are from Buckle, they are called BKE Tylers. I haven't gotten him on the premium wagon yet but I have been trying!!! He is really picky when it comes to length in the crotch area and the bottom leg width. He doesn't like his jeans too tight around his ankles. I guess you could say he likes bootcut style jeans. And when it comes to the crotch area, he doesn't like jeans that make a guy look like he has a "load in his ass" as he puts it. So my question is, what style of TR mens jeans would you all suggest that have kind of a wide leg style??
Thanks!!
Jess

| | HE really needs to go try on some styles so he can get his right fit and size.
This(size) may vary depending on the style.
I had a lot of male customers that have had to do this and its a good thing they did. Quote:

| | ^i know that is the best thing for him to do too. he is just so darn hard headed!!! everytime i suggest it he is like, "no, i like my jeans, i don't want to try on any others." grrrrr!!! trying on is not going to kill him!! so if i go in with an idea on a style that has a wider leg, then maybe he will be more willing to try them on i know once he tries them he will probably end up liking them, he is funny like that!!

| | Maybe a Billy or Joey? those are the ones with wide legs.. I wouldn't get a Logan or Nathan as the leg openings are very small on those |

| | | If your boyfriend, or any guy has short-ish legs and any kind of a bubble butt or bigger, I wouldn't suggest wearing TR's (with flap pockets).
The flare/bootcut will make your short-ish legs look even shorter and the flaps will make your minimal bubble butt look gigantic.
This is all in my opinion.
One more suggestion, get one size smaller than what fits you perfectly. Because the jeans will get loose and your butt will look a tad saggy (before the next time you wash it and you can't wash them all the time.) |

| | | My guy hates straight legs and a very low rise. I stuck with the basics for him Joey, Billy but he likes Bobby the best cause he has thick legs and a bubble butt and there is no pocket flap ( which he claims makes his butt look bigger, I don't see it but to each his own.). He is very picky with jeans. He only wears diesel, TR and AG with a pair of A&F thrown in here and there.

| | I'm not familiar with the BKE Tylers from Buckle, but I would highly recommend Billy's or Bobby's first to get your boyfriend comfortable in True Religion jeans. The only difference between the two, as Jenniebean mentioned, is the Bobby's don't have the flap on the pockets.
The flare on the Joey's can be a bit much, and I find that I can only wear them with certain shoes because of the extreme leg opening. Your boyfriend might initially say, "wtf's up with these bellbottoms" and you don't want to start off on the wrong foot.
You also have to determine what kind of wash he likes. Does he like dark denim, or light denim? Some of my favorite dark washes are Kick Ass and Dark Bad Boy. For the lighter washes, I like Medium Drifter and Light Prankster. Many washes look different in person, so don't always go by the pictures you see online.
Hope this helps a little bit, and if he still doesn't like your gift, dump him. There's too many guys in the world who would love of woman who buys him TR's. Myselft included |

| | thanks everyone for all of the suggestions!!! so my bf actually did agree to go try on some tr jeans for me this weekend at least now i know what styles to pull for him first so that i don't scare him too much!!! my first choices for him are going to be joeys, billys and bobby to try. wouldn't it be cute if we both ended up loving and wearing joeys together!!! awww i know, i am a nerd my boyfriend is really tall, lanky, with kind of skinny legs so he doesn't have the big thigh/bubble butt combo to worry about. i got that issue covered in the relationship unfortunately!!! i have jlo booty, little waist bigger behind, grrrr all of my jeans always end up being big in the waist and tight in the butt area. anyway, enough about me!! joan, the updated style guide for men is awesome!! got a lot of info from it for my trip with him this weekend. leg opening detail of each style is good to know!!!
thanks again guys i will tell y'all how it turns out!!!
