why do some styles come looking worn/dirty? I got a pair of Ricky Supers at the TR Store and they had a hint of brown where the fading was, so I washed them and it came off. Are they supposed to be like that?

Because that is part of the wash. Eventually, some of the brown/dirty tint treatment will fade if washed often.
