| | | Cutting TR's??? Would it be really dumb to cut a pair of TR jeans. The reason I ask is because I am thinking of buying a pair of Joeys on ebay right now, and I am probably not going to have them hemmed....which leaves me to helping they become cut off....well more like capris!! I live in Miami, so it is hot pretty much year round, and will probably get the most wear out of shorts.....or would you just buy the Sammy capris!!
I am debating right now between the rainbow joeys or the sammy capris, both are at about $65 right now.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks |

| | | Buy the Sammy crops. They are adorable and hold their value more because they don't make them anymore. |

| | Well, if you really love the pockets, then go ahead and cut them into something shorter but personally, I wouldn't wear a pair of jeans without a hem unless they were cutoff shorty shorts. If I turned a pair of TRs into shorts or capris, I'd still get some sort of hemming done on them. If you just want to avoid hemming because you have to pay for hemming, it's really not that much consider how much you will get to wear them. Think of it as skipping buying a lunch.
Sammys are crops but they have the same square pocket style, definitely no rainbows or other style pockets on them...it's up to you but you asked for our opinions

if you are lazy... hehe!
i'd always get jeans hemmed, because they would kind of look weird without them!

| | | If you're looking to spend a siginificant amount of money on a pair of jeans/shorts why wouldn't you take 15 mins out of your day and go to a local tailor/seamstress and have them done properly...
I've gotten all my jeans professionally done... I'm lucky enough to have a good spot next to my job that actually reattaches the old hem for cheap... (although I feel like they made one pair to short)

| | | Personally, I like the way Joey look on my butt better than Sammy (waaay better to be exact) so I would get Joeys (the overall pocket design is better) then take them somewhere to have them profesionally hemmed.
Just my .02

| | | If you get the Joeys, please, for the love of all that is good, don't just cut them off. If you're going to get them, at least get them professionally hemmed. If you're not going to get them professionally done, get the Sammys.

| | Unless you get them super cheap, I would not just hack them off.
At least get them altered properly if you are looking to turn a Joey into Bermuda's.
Joey looks stupid as a crop capri length.
Make them Bermuda length, but do it right.
Some Joey Bermuda DID have a neat frayed raw edge, but not just hacked. Had a neat stitch around the fray line.
Otherwise, spend the money and get the crop jean you WILL wear.
