Joey Super T Bad Boy...twisted seam dilemma

Okay so i just purchased a pair with my revolve coupon and they should be arriving tomorrow. I'm kind of anal when it comes to details of stuff such as stitching. I usually get my jeans hemmed at my local tailor but these are my first true religions. She does a great job with a 1/4 hem so i don't bother getting the originals for my rock and republics as you can't tell the difference. My problem is if i should just consult with her to see if she can hem these supers with the originals and perfectly line up the twisted hem or if i should pay more and see if nordstrom can do it perfectly. She usually charges $18 for an original hem but iIm not sure what nordstrom charges perhaps $40 for originals if not bought from the store?

Gosh I'm not sure what the difference would be between the hemming, but if it's going to be nicer from nordstrom's, consider how much you paid for the jeans already on revolve, what's tacking on a few more bucks?

40 dollars is only 22 more than 18. I can do math, at least. : )

and if you're anal..you'll be glad you did.

I have the same mentality as you cy:jumping when it comes to the little things such as hemming and other odd details.

I spend a good amount on the pair itself, but then I'm pretty meticulous and stingy when it comes to the actual maintenance (such as hemming) needed extra for the pair.

I say to consult your original tailor and ask for the special attention for the twisted seams. If you have developed good rapport with him/her, this shouldn't be a problem. Plus, even though it's $22 more to get it hemmed at Nordies, it is more than twice as much as the current tailor.

I don't think Nordstroms does a better job than your local tailor.. at least not at the nordstroms I go to. They're just eh, yeah whatevers, but my local lady (who does charge ridiculous amounts) is fabulous with her work. She did my Joey's twisted seams with original and you cannot tell at ALL that it has been hemmed. I got it back and had to double check because I thought she forgot to hem them, but she did.
