| | | Custom TR's I don't usually post in the TR section of AF but I was at the grocery store the other night and wanted to share what I saw.
A woman, who must've been at least 50, was walking around in Joeys (don't know the wash.. ) and CRYSTALLIZED horseshoes.
I tried to get close enough to take a pic, but there's no way to turn the shutter noise off on my blackberry (I think?) so I had to keep "coughing" to disguise the shutter sound. I think she was sort of wondering why I followed her from the bakery..to the dairy/juice section..to the book section. lol
Sorry it's blurry, best I could do!

| | Are you actually discriminating against older women or do you think it is SUPER COOL that a potential grandma is wearing awesome jeans?

I would hate for you to be the third "bitch please". And I might beat lawgal too it if this is an ageism issue.
And on edit: Potential grandma has a nice hinney and deserves to be wearing those jeans!

| | | Actually this whole post was about someone wearing crystallized TR's since it's not very common. I apologize if it was interpreted as discrimination against more mature women wearing premium denim.
eta: that's why the title of the thread is "Custom TR's" and not "Older Woman Spotted Wearing TR"

I do not care for crystallized horseshoes on TR but I wish your pic was a little better lit or clearer. Its hard to make out the jeans.
Yes, I know it was incredibly difficult to take the picture as it is
I hope they were real |

I hope they were real | I did "mirror" her path in the grocery store so I could first distinguish whether they were real or fake..I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to True Religion but from what I saw they looked real to me The pocket flaps and the shape of the horseshoes looked good.
I remembered that there was a thread in the R&R section from someone who was considering crystallizing a pair of TR and the general consensus was that it would look too "over the top" as TR are flashy enough as it is. That being said, I could care less for crystallized horseshoes as well but I was more surprised that 1) her jeans were real, and 2) her jeans had a plethora of crystals on them (different sizes and colors)
I wish my picture was more clear as well

| | | My mother is 65 and wears TR. No don`t worry, I wont post pics ! ;-)
Serious: Last year I saw crystalized TR`s in a boutique in a mall in Miami (that one next to Nordstrom). It was an ava for about $800. They customized different brands. All high end fashion.

Sorry it's blurry, best I could do! | By emphasizing this phrase with comma's you brought attention to it. It also could be interpreted as sarcastic. You are probably 20 something so 50 seems like one foot in the grave. You could have made your point about the "custom TR" without adding that modifying phrase.
Much to you sunshine!!

| | I am 54, have over 40 PD, (15 TR) and I wear my PD proudly.....my younger friends at work don't know TR, R&R, Sfam; Diesel, CoH or J&Co!
When I am going in a bar with my gf, many people ask, what's the name and where to buy! But if I say the name and they are 300€ (400$), I know, I am walking alone with my PD's, in my hometown it is great, to have a levis at 50€!
But I know what I have and I feel proud and happy!!
