button hole problem

so i bought a pair of jeans. when i got them it looks as if the previous owner couldn't exactly fit into the waist of the jeans. the button hole was ripped a little and is now fraying. i sewed it up but now im a little worried b/c my sewing skills aren't great. im scared that the button will pull on the threads that i've put there and rip again. what else could i do to reinforce this?

does the glue actually work on the jeans? i heard ppl say that b4 but i wasnt sure..

Yes, just be careful to not get it outside of the under-button area, because it can sometimes discolor fabric

I did the same thing and was so confused. I was like, "What the hell, a butt hole problem?" and thought this was intended for the Health section!

I had the BUTTON hole problem before. I put in a few extra stitches and checked it after each wash/dry. I never had a problem. If the jeans aren't too tight/pulling on you, I doubt it will pop off.
