| | | what to do?...what to do? ugh! i have several pairs of jeans that are just too short for me and because of this..they rarely or never get worn. it makes me sad to even think about selling them, but what good are they doing just folded up in a drawer?
most of them are really hard to find...i think that's making it alot harder to decide.
what would you do? would you just hold on to them....just because?
or let them find a new home? |

| | | New home - use the $ to buy more. What's the point of keeping if you never wear?

| | | are they a bit short or too noticeable? Damp stretching length doesn't work? That would suck to have to let them go... |

| | I think I actually feel the anxiety. Maybe one pair at a time is best.
Kinda like a 12 step program...

| | | Maybe just start by parting with one. I totally understand where you are coming from...it's super hard especially when they are rare. But, seriously they are not doing you (or anyone else) any good just sitting there and someone else could be enjoying them! You could also taper them in and cuff them, but that almost seems criminal to me!

| | | How about saving them for flats? Flare goes very nice with flat shoes.
ETA: My COH Kelly was too short too. I ended up cropping them. |

| | | I made my too-short Vienna A's into straight legs and that solved the problem...But I wouldn't recommend doing that with rare pairs. Are they too short for flip flops? It's weird, I think I've seen pics of you in all those, and they never looked too short to me. But I wear my jeans shorter than most people(I can't STAND it when they touch the ground) |

| | maybe if i get the energy, i'll post pics of all 4 and you can see for yourself.(like just from the knees down )
i do remember when i posted some of the pics.. i purposely wiggled them down super low on my hips so they appeared not so short. (it was solely for picture taking though...i couldn't actually wear them like that) |

| | | Sell them one at a time ~ see how you feel after the first pair is sold, and if it doesn't feel right then hang onto the rest.

| | | even though it's going to be traumatizing, i say sell them if you're not wearing them! Then, you can use the money to get pairs that you WILL wear! Unless you can wear them with flats, they aren't doing you any good.
(maybe you can replace the hippie jeans!)hehe |

At first, I felt kind of self-conscious, like my pants were flooding or something. But then I saw all these girls at school with trashed hems and I went, "Nope, I'm good."

| | | If it helps, I don't think pink crystal sigs are that rare. Sure, they are super hard to find authentic ones on ebay. I think you will come across another pair eventually if you let these go. |

| | | I think selling is your best bet as well. I know parting with a pair as pretty as these can be difficult, but they really aren't doing any good sitting in your closet.
You don't have to sell them, you can just pull them out to look at them. I did that for a while with my NYE's. I loved the color of them, but hated the fit. They were just long enough for me, which was nice, but the fit was BAAAAD. So, I would pull them out and look at them every now and then. I finally sold them.
You never know, you may find something that you like just as much (maybe not a rare pair,...but honestly, what good does it do you to own a rare pair that you don't wear?) you may even find something that you like more than these rare pairs and actually be able to wear them because they are long enough for you. |

| | Nola you have 2 pairs on your rid list that are on my wishlist. I can only give you biased advice. Maybe it would feel good to give them up to a good home. A very good home.

| | Even though its hard, selling them seems best... then you can search for the same pairs that are long enough if they ever come up again. You'd probably make some of the people here very happy by selling them | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
