I'm not sure where to post this question but I know the forum has answers to this type of question. I ordered a pair of SFAM on ebay. The package arrived yesterday in a USPS plastic bag with the damaged/ripped envelop inside. The plastic bag says the package was damage and they try not to damage things. The big problem is the package is flat ie) no jeans. I didn't open the bag because I wasn't sure if I needed to keep it sealed to show there are no jeans inside.

I'm only a buyer on ebay so I'm not sure how the shipping piece works. I sent USPS and the seller an email this morning but I figure I would ask people with experience how I should proceed. As always, thanks in advance.

If the buyer has not purchased insurance (which they should have) then they will need to refund you as it is their responsibility to get the item to you. They should have packaged in a way that the jeans would not fall out if the package was torn open. (I just rec'd a pair yesterday that were packaged in a plain Manila envelope that was torn about 8 inches long in the center of the package. Luckily the jeans were still in there, but I can totally see where they could have fallen out and got lost)

If the Seller is not willing to refund you then you will need to file a claim for not as described. There should be an option for receiving an empty package I believe. If you call eBay they should be able to better walk you through it. But wait to hear back from the Seller first. Give them a chance to make it right before filing a claim.
