silly question but i am so confuzzled

they are suppose to be straights, were they altered/repaired? what is with the seam on the butt?? auth? wash?

Got me. The wash looks like BCN (not sure if that's right though) but I don't know what's going on with that bizarre seam.

I think these have been heavily altered. You can see darts at the waist too? Right above the left upper corner of the pocket
