What does a size 30 by 30 mean?

A size 30x30 means that it should be a waist size 30 with an inseam of 30 inches right? Just wondering since my measurements don't match up.

certain cuts will run differently, though...so a 30 in NYD might mean something different from a 30 in sweden (if they make guys' stuff in that wash?!) or or something.

The inseam should be at least 30". Diesel for example some cuts say 30 inseam on the tag. The actual measured inseam might be 31" though.

On the waist, my understanding (for women, anyway) is that the number represents YOUR natural waist rather than the waist measurement of the jeans.

For example, if your natural waist is 30, the jeans might have a waist of 33 because they sit lower on the hips and not truly at the waist.

Yeah. Diesel, TR, etc, the inseam is almost always longer than what's on the tag. Makes no sense, but that's how it is
