About obtaining 3rd party letters of authenticity from us for Paypal disputes!

Sadly, the quest against fake sellers never ends. In the past few months there have been overwhelming requests for authenticity letters for Paypal disputes, such that we need a thread to clarify how I would like these requests to go. Currently there are too many middle men, too much confusion over what I need to receive, etc., and the process is becoming much too time consuming (not to mention the long distance fax calls) to continue to provide this service for free.

This is simple - EMAIL me at idalis@authenticforum.com ONLY the following:

TITLE OF YOUR EMAIL = "AUTHENTICITY LETTER FOR PAYPAL REQUEST - BRAND - EBAY ITEM NUMBER"

BODY OF EMAIL - Any additional photos if there are only stock pics on the auction or you got bait and switched (didn't get the pair pictured)

your paypal CASE NUMBER, and your Paypal EMAIL ADDRESS



I will not chase after you if you send me incomplete info, sorry

That's why. There's no coverletter on some intl Paypals.

Follow the instructions above, but just send your name and case # instead of the coverletter

it should be INSIDE your paypal account. it has 2 barcodes on the bottom.

Have you filed a dispute, escalated it to a claim, and been ASKED for a letter by Paypal? Until all of the above are the case, it is not there and you do not need a letter

"I did not check the tags. I got the jeans that way as a gift. I did not pay attention to the tags. Retail stores make mistakes when they place tags at times. I know because I use to work in retail store."

I have not filed a claim yet. This is what the seller wrote after I questioned him about the tags. He refused my request for a refund. I sent him one more email requesting a refund. If he refuses I will file claim.

What if I need a letter proving that my jeans were authentic that I sold? Can that happen?

Hi - I sent an email too - I'm just hoping I got it right. I escalated to a claim. I'm not sure if maybe I'm looking in the wrong place for the coverletter with barcode that you need, but I can't find it. Thank you so much for this help. I can't believe the person ripped me off and then wouldn't respond to email requests for a refund.
They're supposed to be true religion jeans, but they're made in China, and the thread is falling out.
Should I send pictures of this in the email to you?

questioning the progress of the claim... if I need to do anything else

Hi, I just have a question on the paypal dispute. It says that paypal is reviewing my case again and will let me know by June 22 rather than "requiring action" from me, so does that mean your fax went through to them?

Can't find the barcode

I just received an email from PayPal and it didn't say anything about attaching a cover letter with a bar code. Further, I can't find this bar code anywhere within my PayPal account. What is the bar code for, and where can I find it? Thanks.

The barcode tracks the documents and identifies what case they go to. there is no coverletter outside of the US, and paypal has been having trouble with them for several weeks now inside the US

I just received the e-mail from Paypal too to prove my case and it said this:

documents. Any documents you provide may also be supplied to the seller in
your dispute if necessary.
I can't find the cover letter with bar codes either (I'm in the US). Where do I go after I log into Paypal? or would it be OK if I just e-mail the case ID number and e-mail address like they ask? Also I don't know how to put pictures into the body of an e-mail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Yeah, paypal has been having problems with the coverletters for several weeks and has not been giving them. Just attach photos to the email like you would if you were sending someone a pic

i have emailed you pictures and the letter paypal sent to me... i know they said should be fax before the 16th of this month but when i log into my paypal the case is still open so i'm going to try. thx again

I can't find the cover letter too... :/ (I'm outside the US, btw), so I just attached the photos of the item to the email, and did everything else in the instructions.
