OK got it. I will warn you however, that paypal has started rejecting letters for international buyers, claiming the item can't possibly have been seen in person (ridiculous i know), so you may want to start looking for someone else. Either that or you'd better insist to paypal if they ask that you had to send the item here

just a general question...
i've researched some things and was just wondering what are they going to ask me to do with the item once it's been closed? destroy it? send it back?

apparently they use to get people to destroy and send documentation that it's destroyed...

but now i'm hearing they get you to send it back...even though it's illegal to send counterfeit items...and they sell it at a liquidation sale???

It's a crap shoot. No Paypal does not sell items they have you send to them.. lol. And no it is NOT illegal to mail counterfeit items for refunds or in non-commercial use.

never received my letter

idalis, i never ended up receiving the documentation from you. when i first didn't hear from you, i thought it was because you faxed it to them directly. not until i received an email from paypal stating that the case was closed not in my favour.

Oy. Paypal is notorious for "losing" letters.

This was sent. I DO fax them directly.

Honestly this whole letter thing has gotten so annoying that I'm considering just stopping providing them, because about half the time or more, paypal claims they didn't receive them, or gives some whole other song and dance, different every time.

The bottom line is... always use a credit card online. If you did, call your card company and request a chargeback. If you didn't, unfortunately it's a hard lesson that you can't rely on paypal in any situation.

Alright, I've actually just decided, and this has been a long time brewing, not because of anyone in particular.... I will no longer be providing paypal letters, except for very well established AF members. It has just become too annoying. Sorry.

i was just wondering is there a thread where i can find out if a particular ebay store sales authentic items, or where is the proper thread to get the information about the authenticity of a particular ebay store?

If you run a search, there have been several threads where we have stated the names of sellers who only sell authentic items. But if you have a question about a specific pair just start a new thread in the appropriate brand section with a link to the ebay listing or just put the pics directly into the thread for a free authenticity check. Just be sure you do it BEFORE you buy them.

Pam, good call. Paypal/ebay does it so much differently now that half the time the letters aren't even needed. I can imagine it takes a great deal of work on your part to continue doing this for free. And then to have people who are ungrateful on top of it, would totally set me over the edge.
