if seller X is asking $70 for their item and
seller Y is asking $120 and they agree to
trade, than seller X is responsible for paying
the difference unless agreed upon otherwise.
That's how it works right??!....it's a slightly
rhetorical question but might someone humor
me please?

If this is indeed the way it works, it might
help for some who don't quite understand
to see it in writing.

Only if you agreed to a partial trade IMO. I'd say something like "Your jeans are worth more, so let me give you $XY to make up for that".

Yeah, obviously that's the logical way to work them when it's not an equivalent pair

Someone really doesnt understand that? Obviously a pair of joes and a pair of R&R crowns arent going to be an equal trade (just an example)

its like doing an exchange at the store. You cannot just return a $70 shirt and except to get a $120 sweater without paying the difference
