| | | Paypal Fees and the AF Mall Is it customary or OK to charge Paypal fees to buyers in the AF mall? I look at for sale postings in the mall, and some people charge the fee and some don't. Thanks and let me know...!

| | I believe you're supposed to factor them into your asking price.
For example, "asking $120 shipped" instead of "asking $115 shipped + $5 for paypal fees".
But then again, I've never listed anything in the mall (or on eBay for that matter ) haha

| | | Yah I usually factor all fees (price of jeans + tax + shipping + paypal fees) into the price when I post. I just noticed some people posting and stating it is $xx.xx shipped to the US, and if paying by Paypal, +3%, so that's why I was curious...

| | | Yeah, paypal fees should be included in the asking price. When people list paypal fees separately, it's like there discouraging using paypal to save xxx amount of money.
I haven't seen that here, but I suppose it happens.

| | | You may not add for PP fees. It must be factored into your price.

| | ^^ Ditto.
Non-CC PayPal payments are HIGHLY discouraged. Sellers should always list under the assumption that that is how the buyer is going to pay.
Thanks guys |

Same goes for US sellers asking non-domestic buyers to add for shipping.

| | | There is a seller in the AF Mall who asks for google checkout. If PayPal is used they are asking the buyer to add a certain amount of dollars. I don't remember the listing, but I just saw it yesterday.

Also, I think it would be a lot nicer if sellers just had one price, fees and shipping included.

| | | Yup, one price for everyone is the way we want it. Our mall is intended as a buyer safe-haven from fakes and other shady sellers. Giving incentives to lure buyers into giving away their safety is not really what it's about |

| | | PS: in addendum to what i've said above, i would like to note that we of course value SELLER protection as well, and that all buyers are really suggested to please have confirmed paypal addresses as a courtesy to the sellers |

| | | can I subtract money for GCO?
PayPal is a terrible institution, and since Google Checkout is free until december 31, why shouldn't we be able to discount the total price to pass our savings along!?

| | | no. you can negotiate that with the buyer, if you want, but you are to have ONE PRICE in your listing (and then maybe +$6 to ship internationally).

| | | The only time I've seen sellers ask for extra for the pp fees have been when they are selling really expensive bags like LV and Balenciaga. Never for jeans.
ETA: And since these items are pretty expensive it kind of makes sense to me that if you choose not to pay with PP you can get a better price.

WOW!! Another resurrected thread!

WOW!! Another resurrected thread! | ^ Heh, I didn't even see that. Another spammer I guess. ^^
As for the fees, I guess it's just because the seller wants to give the buyer the option to pay by a different method for a better price but should one choose PP it's going to be more expensive because of the fees.
