Wanted Section?

Any interest in adding a wanted section? I think it might be useful insofar as it would help deter posting wanted ads in any random thread (guilty).

What about a wanted sticky in every Brand forum or something along those lines?

yeah I posted in there once. it was kind of worthless, IMO. stickys are best in the sections, since the sections are browsed the most.

i think having a wanted section is a good idea, keeps things a bit more neat and tidy?

I never looked in the wanted section because I always forgot it was there, but I did post once or twice in it and people always responded to those posts with help/advice/to tell me they were selling something I'd be interested in. I think it's a good idea

The Wanted section is a good idea, but IMO we need to find a way to carry them for like 60 days and then they are deleted. The section can get HUGE and have no end. I think the way Ebay does it where the posts age until 90 days and then disappear is a model to base this on. In addtion, when you get your item, post on it that it is no longer wanted. If your post disapears, you can then re-post the wanted ad once it ages out.
I DO look at the wanted ads when selling or considering selling things. BUT I don't go back very far, just pretty much the front page.
