Ebay Advice - New Ebayer purchased my item (0 feedback)

Hello, a new ebayer just did a BIN on an item I listed. The Ebayer basically just registered today and did a BIN on my item. I suspect that the buyer is a scammer. Is there anything I can do to refuse his bid? Or am I safe to ship it out as long as I have tracking?

Thanks for any advice.

Why do you suspect that they are a scammer?

Usually when people register for ebay for the first time, it's usually because they want to buy something. So it's not uncommon for them to register and buy the same day.

As long as you ship to the address listed on the payment, (and the green check mark shows ok to ship on paypal payment) and you ship with delivery confirmation (or sig confirmation if over $250) you will be covered by paypal protection if it's a fraudulent transaction/stolen CC.

Thanks Fancypants.

As for why I suspect a scam,
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but a couple of days earlier, another Ebay msged me for a low offer which I refused. And now this new Ebayer is in the same city as the other one so I thought it was a bit suspicious.

Could be coincidence, could be the same person - who knows. Had many people lowball us on items and then buy them outright. It is not enough information to assume they are a scammer though in my experience.

Ship with tracking (or signature over $250) and you will be covered by seller protection in the case of a charge back.

Honestly I have sent offers before and got declined so I just bought for full price before. I always worry about new e-bayers + new buyers, but I just remember everyone on e-bay was once a new 0 feedback e-bayer we all started somewhere.
