One Day/Express shipping question
Bought an item of ebay. Seller offered One day/express shipping for $18.99. It was on 6/24 late night, and ebay calculated it to be delivered on 26th, which is exactly what I needed. Paid right away and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Got the tracking number on the 25th that electronic shipping info was received. Kept checking it throughout the day, with no updates. Called USPS in the morning of 26th, was told that they most likely printed the label, but did not ship. Contacted the seller to make sure they shipped it. Got a response on the 27th that they shipped on the 25th, and to be patient. I told them it was supposed to arrive the day before, and that I already lost a day. Got another response to be patient, to look at the tracking and that it was on its way.
Item finally delivered on the 30th. I contacted the seller and told them that I was shipping refunded because the item was 4 days late. They still swear they shipped it on 25th, but offered 70% shipping refund because "they also lost in this transaction."
Who's at fault here? Am I being unreasonable asking for all shipping fees to be refunded b/c the seller messed up? And is Express shipping the same as one day shipping? I always thought it was different, but this is how it's listed in the listing.
