First paypal dispute - help!

I ordered 2 sports bras from gokalyx.com on Sept. 29. I got them on Oct. 26 (after several emails!). One is what I ordered and one is the wrong style.

I wanted to exchange the wrong bra for the correct style, but I'm worried that it won't fit, and then it will be too late to return it based on paypal protection. I filed a dispute on Nov. 3 and they offered to exchange the bra but their website instructs you to get a return number for returns and they didn't give me one. (I've written back twice.)

I just escalated the paypal dispute asking for either a partial refund (half, the amount for the bra I didn't get) or to send me the correct style. Is this reasonable? I don't want to send back the wrong bra first since I'm worried the paypal protection will run out and I'll be out all the money and a bra!

If they do ask me to send back the bra first, is my paypal protection extended until the dispute is closed, or is there a time limit?

Anyone? I escalated the dispute but haven't heard back from paypal or from Kalyx.

Why don't you call both to Paypal (first) and kalyx?

I didn't realize you could call Paypal! I will call them this week. I don't have a phone number for Kalyx. Thanks!

KALYX is a TERRIBLE company. I returned an item to them for a refund after receiving an RMA# only to never hear from them again. I attempted to reach them via multiple email addresses, by phone and through Paypal but never heard back from anyone. Eventually I was forced to place a chargeback with my credit card company - only THEN did I finally get my money back. Do not expect to get anywhere with this company. I recommend you escalate the dispute immediately and request a full refund for the incorrect item. Do not try to exchange the item - this will only create a MUCH larger headache for you. This company BLOWS!

I actually waited to call since paypal said Kalyx had until the 25th to respond, then this weekend I'm away and it is a PITA to do from here. But I got a message yesterday saying I won the dispute, and I'll get the partial refund I requested (which I worked out to exactly the cost of the bra + CA tax.) I don't know if I'll hear from them asking to send back the bra or not...

kimii, sorry you had such a bad experience with them too. I don't know why they bother to have a company if they're going to have such terrible customer service. Surely it would be more profitable to treat customers well!

if it is a "partial" you are not obligated to send the item back. If they want the item back after you receive a refund partial they will need to request it, you should make them pay for shipping if they request it after refunding you.
