Package to Russia arrives 11 WEEKS LATER!

I sent a Priority mail flat rate package to the Russian Federation on August the 22nd and it JUST arrived on Monday! Fortunately my buyer was kind enough to let me know and say they are willing to pay for it as the dispute has been closed and she was refunded. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!? I sure cannot. Just glad it made it and she is an honest buyer

But it is not because it is Russia. Obviously, the package just fell off the pile and was lying under some shelves and was later found.. I had to file a dispute for some Jo Malone samples sent from England to Sweden by a small Airmail packet. I was shocked to have received them after 3months after getting my money back. I couldn't understand what was that when I was opening a little package..I completely forgot about this purchase. So it happens

Actually sadly I can believe it took 11 weeks. Common problem I find with the mail system there. Had an express mail package take over 6 weeks to arrive before. Ship stuff to Russia consistently and more often than not it takes forever to arrive.

6 weeks for Express mail? OMG, that is not good at all. What did it show as status on usps website and did the buyer file item not received? I just shipped something to the Ukraine by express. I hope it gets there within 2 weeks.

hey guys, just saw this thread and signed up so i could post. i have been selling jeans and shirts on ebay for the the last 3 years. i had one guy from the russian federation who bought alot from me. he would win items and i would hold them until he had 15 or 20 and i would send them all at once. we did this quite a few times. he told me in advance that russian customs is extremely slow but always comes through. he said he buys things from all over and it always takes 10 - 12 weeks to get through russian customs but it always comes through. he said he would leave me feedback when it showed their customs received it in about a week. we had a great relationship and was glad he told me all of that in advance.

since then and knowing this, i have had several other people win items from me and i told them in advance on this because most russian people dont even know apparently. after warning one woman of this, and that it would always make it to her, she still filed a claim on me after 9 weeks and after about 4 or 5 days the package arrived and she dropped the claim.

about a month ago a woman just won an affliction beanie and i again told her about all of this and told her i would just rather cancel the transaction if she could not wait on it and she assured me that she was aware of it and would not start a claim so i shipped it out.

just thought i would add all of this so you could all be aware and know if you ever send anything to the russian federation.

I guess I'm lucky. I've never had problems there. Usually 2-2.5 weeks. Shipped a few there recently (express, would never dream of using anything else there)
