Canadian shipping questions -pet peeve

Hi -So, I've listed a bunch of jeans on ebay. Shipping to the US is $25 using Canada Post Expedited shipping, which includes tracking, delivery confirmation and insurance. Still, I get so many questions from Americans saying that shipping is unreasonable and can I lower the shipping prices. I even say in my listing that they can check shipping costs on Canada Post and I'm not lying. Still, for every listing, I get many people asking me about costs. This morning, my email is filled with 8 questions on shipping costs (I only listed 10 items).
Am I missing something? Can I lower the price of shipping somehow and still protect myself with tracking? I have a Venture One card to get the discount.
When I buy something from the US, I expect to pay $25-$30 in shipping and I don't fuss. Why can't US ebay people accept shipping costs in the reverse? International buyers don't seem to have a problem with it…I almost want to ban Americans from my auctions …sorry…my rant.

But if I can lower costs of shipping, please let me know...

What kind of jeans are they ? Do they weigh a lot or something ?

Most of my jeans are only about $15 when I ship to the US via Expedited Shipping. Try using PayPal shipping label when you ship to the US. It saves me like at least $3~$4 each time.

Just normal jeans…It always costs me between $24-$27 no matter what I do. I'll try the Paypal label I guess…I thought the Venture One card would be the same savings...

i ship via canadapost expedited through paypal, and it is always 15-18, i charge 15us and take the hit on anything over it. i charge 13us for womens jeans and it is usually 15.
i think it is better for business to keep shipping prices as low as possible.

jeangirl did you mean you ship express? because then the price is correct. If I ship to canada I will only ship express because it is safer.

I can't even ship a pair of jeans from Central Canada to the East coast for less than 15$, it costs me at least around 20 to send it south. But I don't think I've ever paid quite 27$ to ship one pair of pants.

Does it cost much less to send it from the states to Canada? I always seem to pay around 20$ to get something shipped here. I do think there's sometimes that lack of understanding going the other way, but you've posted it in your listing that they can check the prices. Can you bold that, maybe they're just not reading it in your listing.

To be fair, I think the time I paid almost $27, it was a pair of TRs with the studs on it, so they were obviously heavier. Yesterday I shipped a pair of AG Tomboy jeans and the shipping with tax cost me approx. $22.50 with tracking and insurance. I pay $5.99 for a pack of 6 padded envelopes, so all in, I'm shipping for $24 it looks like. I just don't think I'm willing to take a hit on shipping to sell stuff. Everything is going for so cheap on ebay anyway, so I don't want to take a loss on shipping to sell a pair of $200 jeans for $25.
