Safest Method of Receiving Payment

Hello all,
I know that mostly, the preferred method of receiving and making payment is paypal.
As a seller, is EMT (i assume it means email money transfer) also reliable?
What are the pros/cons between the two methods?

lol yeah according to paypal anyways.

Not sure what an EMT is.

The safest methods of payment for a seller would be cash, bank transfer, western union, USPS money order cashed at the post office or similar methods of payment. Of course those are not at all safe for buyers. Also escrow would fall into this category.

Safest methods for buyers would be a credit card w/ pretty much any payment system since they can do a charge back or escrow.

Best thing to do is know the policies of what ever payment processor you are using to determine what actions you need to take to protect yourself.

Thanks Treasurehoard.

EMT. A person asked if he can pay by EMT. I googled it and the closest thing I can find is email money transfer.
Not familiar with this term.

Anyways, I guess by what you are saying, receiving payment is not as tricky as making payments.

I think to make it better for me and the buyer, we should just try to agree on paypal.

Email money transfers are fast right into your bank account but you have to give up your banking info..account#,transit#,and bank#.
Your better protected with paypal although it usually takes 4-5 days to transfer funds from pp to your bank account.
