What is the best/cheapest way to ship shoes?

So, I've searched and searched and did not find a lot of info .

I have several pairs of shoes that I am no longer wearing and would like to sell. Is there a way similar to flat rate envelope for shipping shoes?

The Priority Mail boxes made for shoes are not actually a flat rate. They are regular Priority that ships by weight/distance. But if the shoes are small enough, they will often fit inside a regular size flat rate box, which ships for about $10. Depending on the weight of the shoes it is usually less expensive to ship regular Priority in the Priority Mail Shoe box. (From my experience anyway.)

Either way, it's not super cheap.

eta: Here is the link to order the Priority Shoe boxes:
Product: Priority Mail Shoe Box

Can't find anything about flat rate shoe boxes. Only regular flat rate small/big boxes. I am looking at Postage Price calculator. Small box is too small and large is $10+. Is there any cheaper options?

P.S. Thank you Kimoy and Amber for the quick reply .

I usually weigh shoes placed in the regular Priority shoebox and see if the cost ends up being more/less than the Flat Rate Box. For me, it's always been less.

I've only shipped shoes without a box, and I use the regular USPS Priority Mail envelopes. I wrap them in tissue paper and then in bubble wrap to ensure they don't get damaged.

I use UPS business account if the shoes are over 3 lbs, under and I ship priority (probably not flat rate)

could you ship parcel post? I've never done that but it might be cheaper (although i suspect not a whole lot). If you have original boxes (or other boxes lying around) you can cover them with that cheap brown shipping paper and ship that way. I have done that before, only I still shipped with priority. I hate shipping shoes though for this very reason

if the shoes are selling for pretty cheap I would probably ship first class with a box you might have lying around the house. You can also save money shipping priority if you use your own box depending on its measurements. and print out your labels online for free d/c and on the usps website it is always a little cheaper than going to the PO.

Most likely cannot ship 1st class. The package would need to weigh less than 13 oz. and in my experience most shoes do not after you package them up. Parcel can be almost as expensive as priority in most cases ... when you add in the cost of delivery confirmation you are sometimes only saving a few cents.

The only time I've ever mailed shoes was in a regular shoe box wrapped in brown paper. The buyer lived in my state so it only came out to $4.80 for shipping
